Massage is a wonderfully simple way for people to care for one another. There are really no secrets to massage, nothing to learn that is beyond anyone's limits. Essentially, massage is communication, letting someone know that you care by touching and stroking the body.
All that's needed for massage is a warm room or a secluded, quiet spot outdoors, some oil and the desire to share an intimate experience with someone. There is no need for anything else. In massage - especially in our culture - touch is what is important, for it is touch that we sorely lack. in our culture, to touch someone is to express sexual interest, so as a people we don't touch - unless we mean to convey sexual interest. Because of the touching taboo, we are starved for touch, and through massage, we can explore the sensual world of touching without committing to a sexual episode.
This becomes obvious in massage when it is realised that massage causes a change in our awareness of the world, a refreshing mental state akin to a meditative or hypnotic consciousness. Massage is a healing art - it is good for you. but it is more than that when practised in a sensual manner. By heightening awareness, massage brings people together. And for lovers, there is nothing better.
